ABOUT ROCK STEADY BOXING
We are learning every day that there are ways in which people with Parkinson’s disease can enhance their daily quality of life and even build impressive power, strength, flexibility, and speed! This non-contact boxing-style fitness program works by moving your body in all planes of motion while continuously changing the routine as you progress through the workout. These classes have proven that anyone, at any level of Parkinson’s, can actually lessen their symptoms and lead a healthier/happier life.
Recent studies have proven that forced, intense exercise programs are “neuro-protective,” actually working to delay the progression of symptoms.
In addition to being certified Rock Steady Boxing Trainers, our coaches are licensed physical therapists, with extensive experience working with people with neurlogical disorders, with additional certifications as LSVT BIG Therapists, LSVT BIG FOR LIFE Therapists, as well as PWR! Therapists. Call Coach Barb at 908-210-2153 or Coach Denise at 908-468-0249 for more information and to schedule a “get to know you” session! All levels welcome!!
Classes are currently being offered 3 days per week, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 2-3:30 pm.
